The Hosts

The Philly Frenetics Podcast is a Philadelphia sports podcast that mixes insight with a dash of irrationality (as is the Philadelphia way) and a strong sense of humor. Hosts Joe Greenwich and John Saeger dive headfirst into the latest Eagles, Flyers, Phillies, 76ers, and Union news each week.

The pair also share their thoughts on the general sports news of the week, in addition to sharing their experiences as life-long Philadelphia sports fans with their listeners.

Joe Greenwich

Born and bred in the shadow of the Philadelphia skyline in Delaware County, Joe Greenwich is one of the creators of The Philly Frenetics Podcast. A baseball fan since birth, Joe fell in love with soccer as a child and has since become a season ticket holder for the Philadelphia Union while also harboring an undying loyalty to the Premier League’s Manchester City. He is the voice of the Delco Baseball League, both as a public address announcer and lead play-by-play man, in addition to filling those roles for a number of sporting events throughout the Philadelphia area.

John Saeger

After living in four different states before he was six, John Saeger has not lived outside the same five-mile radius of Philadelphia since 1992. The first events John remembers attending were Phillies games at Veterans Stadium and a Saint Joseph’s-Villanova throwdown at The Palestra. The 700 level and the Cathedral could not be more different, but his viewing habits have not changed much since those days. In addition to writing and creating content for The Philadelphia Globe, John works in a variety of video production and game day roles throughout the Delaware Valley.
