It’s the final episode of The Philly Frenetics Podcast for 2020, and it’s got plenty of what you’ve come to expect from each edition: Eagles-related complaints, consternation about the Sixers, and wistful reminiscences of days long past. And that’s just from Joe!

In this episode:

• The guys talk about their respective Christmases

• John Reads The News™ (4:19), featuring not one, but TWO pitchers who may have already been traded by the time you hear this

• What Are You Drinking?™ featuring a new segment, What Are You Drinking Out Of?™ (6:07)

• The Eagles’ loss to the Cowboys finally and mercifully eliminates them from playoff contention (7:40), discussion of which culminates in Joe comparing the Eagles to a dead whale and John immediately and savagely comparing the dead whale to an Eagle

• Joe remains unconvinced by The Jalen Hurts Experience, and this time he brought math (13:18)

• Quick Picks are discussed, a result is announced, and a champion is finally crowned (20:24)

• A certain former Eagle has moved on to a new career, and John has thoughts (21:06)

• Another team in town got its season started as the Sixers are just three games deep into their schedule and there are already positives and a big, hulking negative (23:55)

• The guys look back at a number of things that happened in 2020 (32:40), including:

  • Jeopardy!‘s “Greatest of All Time” tournament (36:42)
  • The Super Bowl…yeah, remember that? (40:04)
  • The Jazz-Thunder cancellation that temporarily ended sports (43:12)
  • The Last Dance (44:48)
  • MLB Opening Day (57:19)
  • John still can’t get over Blake Snell being taken out of Game 6 of the World Series, and Joe’s still mad at Justin Turner (59:19)
